Décathlon in Niort chose one of Delta Dore's energy management systems to control its consumption and optimise the comfort

Upon moving to new premises in Niort (France), Décathlon opted for Delta Dore's solution to control consumer equipment within its 5,000 m² shop. Choosing the Energy Vision energy performance solution came as part of the sporting equipment group's environmental policy. All of its new shops are HQE-certified (French High Environmental Quality standard). For Delta Dore - a group specialised in energy control - this illustrates their ability to offer tailored solutions, truly adapted to their customers' real needs.

High energy performance and comfort

In order to ensure high energy performance, Décathlon's construction team chose Delta Dore and its Building Management Systems (BMS) solution Energy Vision: a high-performance online platform to closely monitor installation and optimise energy management within the building. The system controls all lighting (inside and outside), as well as heating, ventilation and air-conditioning installations (hot air curtains, roof-top, panel heaters and cassette air conditioner systems). The BMS feeds back on any technical alarms and manages rainwater recovery. Delta Dore's solution can be used to recover water and electricity readings.

Energy savings of up to 30%

Eric Elleouet, Décathlon's Constructions Manager for the West of France, explained: "Choosing Delta Dore's Energy Vision solution made shop maintenance easier. Before, the staff used to manually switch the lights on and off. This BMS solution also plays a part in improving comfort within the premises as it ensures a constant temperature of 21°C as soon as the shop opens: this guarantees optimal comfort both for staff and customers. Lastly, the system's sophistication makes it possible to manage energy zone by zone - in the shop, in storage rooms, in staff offices or even outside - and thus optimise consumption.

In the long run, automating electrical and heating consumption should help save up to 30% within the Niort premises.

Energy Vision, an adaptable and customisable platform

The Delta Dore monitoring platform selected by Décathlon Niort adapts to all kinds of buildings, according to their configuration.

Its interfaces are intuitive and ergonomic, and no technical or detailed knowledge of the controlled system is required.

Precise monitoring of the installation's behaviour for optimal energy management

Energy Vision is more than just a monitoring tool. It is a smart energy management system providing comprehensive information on the behaviour of the facility and offering a full range of control options for its technical equipment. Energy readings make it possible to closely monitor real-time consumption within the facility.

The information is prioritised, making it easier to analyse and understand equipment interactions. Any information stemming from the system is archived, and all actions are traced for optimal analysis.

The system is constantly checking monitored equipment, and processes any information or alarms urgently, so they can then be transferred to the teams on duty.

Its 100% web operation makes for optimal visibility over the entire system and operating information, using just a simple Internet browser. It also helps integrate the energy management system into IT environments, often governed by restrictive and highly secure charters.
