NICOLL CERTIFIED ISO 50001

The specialist in systems for draining and managing water with synthetic materials has placed its trust in Delta Dore for nearly 32 years now. As a pioneer in energy management for its buildings, this industrial company has equipped its 3 factories in Cholet with Delta Dore energy metering and management solutions. In fact, these solutions contributed to the Cholet-based company's three sites obtaining the ISO 50001 certification in April 2015.

Nicoll and Delta Dore, a partnership for energy efficiency

Mindful of energy issues, the industrial company pays special attention to its own heating and cooling consumptions. The company chose to rely on Delta Dore's energy metering and control solutions to make the operation of energy-consuming equipment easier, approve good practices and limit overall energy consumption.

From energy proficiency to obtaining the ISO 50001 certification

Obtaining the ISO 50001 certification in April 2015 ascertains that Nicoll took the necessary energy management steps, resulting in greenhouse gas reductions and cutting energy consumption costs.

Dany Guillet, Nicoll's Quality, Safety and Environment Manager, explained:

"Energy has always been one of Nicoll's main concerns. The ISO 50001 now structures our approach and confirms our commitment to efficient energy management through our industrial site."

Nicoll's various sites are fitted with about fifty Energy Box meters. Gas and electricity readings are then sent to the Energy Vision supervisor to be archived. Consumption is displayed in the form of graphs and dashboards, rendering data analysis and decision-making easier.

Thanks to all this equipment, Nicoll managed to divide its fuel consumption by three.

"Currently, 70% of our consumption is measured; there is still 30% yet to explore through the implementation and development of 32 new meters" pointed out Philippe Leroyer - Nicoll's Building and new construction Manager. "With an overall vision of all our consumptions, we are able to identify the most energy-consuming activities and thus provide efficient and targeted solutions to reduce these consumptions", added Philippe Leroyer.

Thanks to its sustained efforts, Nicoll - already certified ISO 9001 and 14001 - obtained the ISO 50001 certification. In addition to proving its energy-controlling commitment, this certification guarantees quality for end customers who are also concerned with the environmental impact of the products they use in their buildings.
